Aces Against Cancer
Aces Against Cancer is our community effort to “support the fighters, admire the survivors, honor the taken, and never, ever give up hope” of finding a cure for cancer.
Over the past 9 years, this initiative has been able to raise over $164,000 to support cancer research and cancer patient care programs. We look forward to continuing the fight and thank you for your support!

Aces Against Cancer and the A-C community joined together to Stack The Deck Against Cancer this year, raising $24,259.18 for cancer research and patient care.
This year’s fundraising activities included an adults-only event, Augtoberfest; Ladies Night at the Vineyard; Chipotle Night; and a Pancake Breakfast by the Amanda Township Fire Department. Our events were also bolstered by sponsorships from many local families and businesses. The annual T-shirt and ribbon sale accompanied the week-long celebration with our A-C students. This year’s festivities also included a free Community Prayer Service & Walk event in honor/memory of those impacted by cancer.
To date, AAC has raised over $164,000 for cancer research and cancer patient care. A Community Cares was able to donate this year’s funds to The James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, FMC Foundation, and OhioHealth Foundation for cancer research and patient care programs. We are so grateful for the support we receive from the Amanda-Clearcreek Local School District and community.
Aces Against Cancer 2022
This fall, members of the A-C community came together to BEAT cancer! Our 2022 fundraiser ran from September 6th to the 10th and featured special game jerseys at athletic contests, t-shirt sales, Claim that Tune game, Winds of Change pinwheel display, a community walk & prayer service, and our NEW Ladies Night at the Vineyard event!
Special game jerseys were worn by Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Golf and Cross Country teams this year, in honor and remembrance of those impacted by cancer. Approximately 75 individuals were celebrated this way.
Aces Against Cancer t-shirts and Winds of Change pinwheels were on display at school and at athletic contests throughout the week. Over 300 people were honored with pinwheels this year!
Many community members supported our efforts this year by participating in our walk & prayer service, playing our Claim that Tune game, and purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets.
We had an AMAZING turnout at our Ladies Night at the Vineyard this year! This new event featured live music by Jamison Lantz, a beautiful basket silent auction, a lovely flower bar by Pistils & Petals, delightful desserts by Clearcreek Cakes & Bakes, and delicious wines by Clearcreek Country Vineyard.

Aces Against Cancer 2021
Aces Against Cancer 2021 was all about KICKIN’ IT TO CANCER! We had an amazing group of sponsors for the week-long event, including sponsors for special AAC jerseys worn by the football team and cheerleaders! We could never be successful in our endeavor without the incredible support of our A-C Community!
Our event for 2021 included a T-shirt sale, Chipotle Night, a cancer ribbon sale, sponsored jerseys to honor those impacted by cancer, and our Kickin’ It To Cancer in the Country night at JEMN View Farms! We were excited to return to in-person activities and everyone really showed up for this great cause, helping us raise $27,119.93!
